Independent Advice for Yacht Owners Facing Expensive Decisions.
Before you approve the refit, commit the capital, change the captain, buy the yacht, sell the yacht, or accept a recommendation you are not completely comfortable with, get an experienced independent second opinion.
I advise yacht owners directly.
I do not sell yachts, manage yachts, operate shipyards, place crew, or earn commissions from the decisions you make.
My role is simpler.
I help you decide what makes sense for you.
The Reality of Yacht Ownership
A yacht creates a constant flow of decisions about people, maintenance, refits, operating costs, upgrades, and long term ownership.
Most owners already have capable captains, managers, brokers, lawyers, surveyors, and technical advisors.
The challenge is that each person naturally sees the situation from the perspective of their own role.
Sometimes the owner needs someone who can step outside all of that and ask one simple question:
What makes the most sense for you?
That is where I work.
I provide independent advice directly to yacht owners, with no commission, transaction, or operational agenda.
When Owners Call Me
Owners typically contact me when something does not quite add up.
- A refit estimate has become much larger than expected.
- A captain and broker are recommending different paths.
- The yacht is consuming more capital than anticipated.
- A major yard period is approaching.
- The owner is deciding whether to refit, sell, replace, or continue operating the yacht.
- A purchase looks attractive, but the long term implications are unclear.
- A change order or technical recommendation needs another experienced set of eyes.
- The relationship with a captain, manager, broker, or yard has become difficult to evaluate objectively.
Or sometimes you simply want to hear:
“If this were my yacht and my money, here is what I would be thinking about.”
Independence Matters
I accept no commissions, referral fees, brokerage compensation, yard incentives, or transactional compensation from third parties.
If I recommend doing nothing, I benefit exactly as much as if I recommend proceeding.
That is deliberate.
My only client is you, the owner.
Independent judgement when it matters most.
